Centenary Walk

Opportunity to experience the Centenary Walk on 7th July 2019

Join the WGC100 Centenary Walk team on Sunday 7th July 2019 at 10am and experience the beauty of the green spaces around our lovely town.

The full circular walk is 20.20km (12.5 miles), starting from the Health Walk meeting point at the South Lake at Stanborough – near the café – and setting off in an anti-clockwise direction towards Mill Green.

The walk starts at 10am, stopping midway for a lunch break and aiming to be back at the start around 4pm. You do not need to do the full circuit – you can peel off at any time and catch a bus or walk back into town.

Please wear suitable footwear and clothes according to the weather, bring plenty to drink and a packed lunch.

To join the walk, contact walk@wgccentenary.org so that we have an idea of numbers.

Getting there: Parking at Stanborough Lakes costs £5 per day.

Buses 724 and 301 from Hatfield and WGC stop at Stanborough.

This is an informal walk so you walk at your own risk.
