Welwyn Garden City Centenary Foundation 1920-2020

Centenary at the Heritage Fair

Welwyn Garden City Centenary Foundation
The Foundation had a display at the highly successful Fourth Welwyn Hatfield Heritage Fair held in the Howard Centre on Saturday 28th October, 2017.

In addition to the normal Saturday shopping footfall, the Centre was also hosting the launch of the Royal British Legion Poppy Day Appeal and we were delighted to have the opportunity to chat to a Chelsea Pensioner, who had a family connection to the town.

Over the course of the event, attended by 14 local exhibitors, we welcomed 12 new supporters to our contacts list, and spoke to about 60 visitors who were interested to learn about what we are planning on to celebrate the Centenary of the town.
