The Welwyn Garden City Chorus and Orchestra will perform a varied programme of well known works associated with Welwyn Garden City, and known 100 years ago, to celebrate the town’s Centenary year.

The programme will include:

“Fall” from the Three Cornered Hat Scenes and Dances

“Blue Moon” and other songs from “In the Mood” by Rodgers and Hart
“The Spirit of England” by Elgar

“The Lark Ascending” by Vaughan Williams. The Music Society is proud to support talented young musicians and the soloist for this haunting and beautiful piece for the solo violin is Abigail James, currently studying at the Purcell School of Music.
