Hatfield Welwyn Community Choir: Garden City at 100! Workshop and concert

Garden City at 100! Workshop and concert

A rare opportunity for anyone who would like to join with Hatfield Welwyn Community Choir in a workshop to learn a specially commissioned song: “Garden City at 100”.

This beautiful poem about Welwyn Garden City is new work by Glyn Maxwell, who also wrote The City of Tomorrow being performed at the Barn Theatre in April and May 2020. It has been set to music by well-known local singer and musician Rachel Thomas.

The programme will also include other easy to learn and fun songs. The workshop leaders are keen to attract child as well as adult singers. No musical experience necessary.

The day will conclude with a celebratory concert open to all and which will include the world première of “Garden City at 100”
